Cell Phone Antennas

July 21st, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

The thing is that technology has come thus far that we no longer require the age-old antennas that the old Nokias used. An internal antenna would work just as fine as an external antenna that is however provided that you are purchasing a good model phone and not some cheap model.
I feel that an internal antenna is superior to the external antenna in wireless devices. An external antenna can easily get broken or cracked and then your phone is basically kaput. Many of the manufactures have now gone to internal antennas and the devices are much better than the old external antenna devices. In looking at today’s devices, the Samsung and LG phones still seem to have external antennas and the Motorola devices are now all internal.
The Nokia and Sony devices also have internal antennas. All of the PDAs now have internal antennas, including the newer Treos. Sound quality is based on the phone model, itself, but as far as getting and retaining signal strength, I think you will find that the phones with internal antennas, such as the Razr, several of the Sony models and the PDAs are better than those devices with external antennas.
External antennae of good quality definitely do improve performance. IMHO, Wilson Electronics is one of the best sources for cellular signal enhancement equipment, including antennae and amplifiers.
Televisions operate in a different frequency range than cellular phones so hooking up to a television antenna will not improve your signal. If you have absolutely no signal at your house and have to travel a distance before you pick up a signal the prospects are grim. If you have some kind of signal outside of your house then an external antenna should help you. In addition to an external antenna an inline amplifier would strengthen your signal ever more.
Be careful to get one that works with a Digital phone though. The old style that worked on analog will not work with the digital phones. If you would like we do carry these and can order one for you. We just need to know the exact Samsung model you have.
From what I read, you want to hook your radio antenna up to try to boost your cell phone signal?
I have limited experience with engineering, but I do know that your radio antenna and cell phone should be on a different frequency; this is why you don’t pick up radio stations while talking on your cell and your call doesn’t interfere with radio broadcasts.
I would definitely recommend you talk to someone at say Radio Shack. I know there are boosters made specifically for cell phones; they might be able to help you find one for your phone. The sticks on antennas are of little help. Yes we do sell regular antennas for cellular phones.
Try doing a *228 (send) option 2 to your phone…. you should do that once a month to update the most recent tower list…if that doesn’t work we sell antennas that do work… but you have to be plugged in.

What’s Your Worth?

July 21st, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Persuasion is a vast field of study and we will continue to explore all of persuasion, only now we’re focusing with laser-like precision on the defined goal of selling to the affluent and activating within ourselves affluent mindsets.
When we define our goals, our targets, our specific & particular paths – we set our intention.
I have set out to define affluence more fully recently. The dictionary’s definition is not expansive enough for our purposes because of how individualized our perspectives are, but it’s a good place to start.
Affluence: 1. A plentiful supply of material goods; wealth. 2. A great quantity; an abundance. 3. A flowing to or toward point.
The definition is somewhat vague. Affluence is a ‘great quantity’ but a ‘great quantity’ compared to what? Affluence is a ‘plentiful supply’ but a ‘plentiful supply’ compared to what?
When we get down to it, affluence is a combination of these three factors:
1. net worth
2. cash flow
3. disposable income
Of course that’s going to vary wildly from audience to audience so we have to define affluence for ourselves.
For you, what you consider affluent today – if you raised your own level of wealth in any or all of those three areas – you might not find affluence tomorrow.
The goal is to constantly set the bar higher and continue to grow and progress.
If you’re an adviser and today you have people that have a million dollar net worth… Well, maybe a year from now you’re selling people that have a million dollars in cash that they can put into your program.
Then three or four years down the road your clients have much larger net worths and three or four million in cash that they can invest with you. You can achieve that kind of change with these skills.
It is about the evolution of you, of your business, and your ability to provide wealth for yourself and your family.
Persuasion is powerful
For myself, when I was first starting out, my clients were college kids who could barely afford to pay attention, let alone pay for my courses.
As I grew, honed my skills, realized my value, developed this field of work, I also adjusted my relationship to affluence. The clients I began attracting are worth a considerable amount and I believe this is all related to how much I feel I’m worth.
As it was for me, the evolution of your own wealth and your relation to affluence is directly related to how much you feel you are worth.
Here’s an exercise for you:
Examine your relationship with affluence. Chart out an affluence map from the perspective of you 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago.
Once that’s mapped out, look at that piece of paper and see past the edge of the sheet to the vast territory of your future. Our affluence mindsets are about to jump off the charts.

Difficulty in Writing Research Papers

July 21st, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Research papers are some of the hardest papers that you will ever have to write. This is due to the fact that in most cases it is not your thoughts and ideas that you are trying to convey through your writing. You have been given a topic and are asked to research it and present your findings in the form of a paper. This is great if you are familiar with the topic but if you are writing a college paper or something there is a good chance that this will be the first time that you have come across this topic and if you have no prior experience writing research papers then you may have a great deal of difficulty.
However there are some things that you can keep in mind when starting to write research papers. The most important thing when doing research papers is to ensure that you allow yourself enough time to research and write the paper. For example, if you were asked to write a twenty-page paper on a topic of your choosing that you did not need to research, the recommended amount of time is a month. So if you need to do some research before you start writing then you should allow yourself another month just to be safe. The bare minimum of time that you should allow yourself is a week and you will be hard pressed to write a good research paper in a week.
Before writing your paper you should already have in mind how you would like to organize and present the paper. Some people say that you should begin your paper by stating your thesis statement, which of course is true, but there are people who argue over when the thesis statement should be written. Some writer’s say that this is the first thing you write and others say that it is the last. The thesis statement is the question that you would like to answer in your paper. Sometimes people need to write the paper before they can write the perfect thesis statement, every writer is different.
When writing the thesis statement in research papers you should always try to keep it simple, you do not use an enormous subject to work with. This means that you may need to refine your topic. The thesis statement should a specific statement that is used a question that will be explored and answered throughout the course of your writing.
As with all writing the introduction goes at the top or beginning of the paper and the body follows behind and the conclusion is at the end. How you organize your information for each section is up to you but all information should flow together. It is recommended that you use headings when moving from one topic to another within the same paper. This organizes the information for the reader. The key to writing a good paper is organization and making clear points.

Accounting Processes – Book-keeping To Final Statements

July 20th, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

The most important lesson that every aspiring accountant learns right through his education and training is that of recording the transactions accurately and in the proper format. For there can be nothing more damaging to the credibility of the accounting process, if one could not rely on the figures thrown up.
Book-keeping is an important aspect of an accountant’s job. Although it might seem quite mechanical, practically it is not so. In a large organization, despite standardized or mechanical data capture facilities book-keeping is the best way to exercise control.
Accountants record transactions on the basis of vouchers. A voucher is a concise slip that shows the appropriate item to be debited or credited along with full details of the supporting documents. Usually, cash and check payments are recorded through vouchers. Assume, the firm paid $20 in cash for buying office stationery. The debit voucher shows the account to be debited as Printing and Stationery or any equivalent term, the amount paid in figures and words and the details of the bill from the supplier.
For the sales and purchases transactions, entries are made in a book called the sales journal and purchases journal. The credit sales and purchases are recorded with complete details about bill number, party name, quantity and total amount. The daily totals from the journals are posted into the respective ledger accounts. Cash sales and purchases are posted directly from the cash book.
The books of prime entry are the Cash book (with columns for bank transactions), Sales journal, Purchases Journal and General Journal. The General Ledger is the book of secondary entry. Recording of transactions is complete only when they have been posted into the appropriate accounts in the General ledger. On a monthly interval, all the accounts in the ledger are totaled. Then a statement called the trial balance is extracted that lists all accounts with their respective balances. If the trial balance tallies, that is the debit balances equal credit balances, the numerical accuracy of the accounting system is established. Otherwise, we could conclude that the double entry principle has not been adopted properly.
Other statements that the book-keeper maintains are the bank reconciliation, creditors’ ledger, debtors’ ledger and fixed assets register.
From the trial balance, the statement of income and the balance sheet can be prepared. During the course of finalizing these statements, one would come across errors. The rectification entries for correcting them are passed through the General Journal. The ledger postings are made so that the correct balance can be arrived at.

Parenting Teenagers And The Problems of Passing On A Sense Of Responsibility

July 20th, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

For any parent one of the most difficult tasks is that of teaching responsibility and this is particularly difficult when it comes to parenting teenagers. In most cases you find yourself faced with the problem of instilling habits into your teenagers which will result in appropriate behavior while at the same time not stifling the need for them to be able to make individual personal choices.
Taking ‘responsibility’ for something means simply being the agent for some action which produces an effect that can be either bad or good. Instilling a sense of responsibility is accordingly very much a case of getting your child to understand that every action has consequences and that these may affect not only their own lives but the lives of other people.
If you are able to get your child to make the connection between his or her actions and their natural consequences then you will go a long way towards teaching responsibility. This approach is also a lot better than following the time honored, but usually totally unproductive, route of simply resorting to telling your teenagers that they can or connot do something ‘because you say so’.
This is all well and good but, in reality, it is normally much easier said than done. For example, take the teenager who is tempted to begin, or has indeed started, to experiment with drugs. The undoubted consequences of this action are that he is quite likely to graduate from ‘soft’ to ‘hard’ drugs, will become addicted and almost certainly begin lying and stealing, or worse, to feed his habit. His school work will begin to suffer, as will his health, and at some point he will come up against the law and possibly end up in jail. However, you try explaining this to a sixteen year old who feels that he is completely in control of his own life and more than capable of ensuring that this does not happen to him.
Now This is possibly a somewhat extreme example of the difficulties of teaching responsibility and one for which the solution is a little too complicated for this short article. Nevertheless, it is a common problem these days and one which many parents will be familiar with.
At this stage however let us consider simpler, but extremely common problem – that of teaching your teenager to take responsibility for keeping his room clean.
For many parents the answer to this problem is to withdraw privileges until the room is cleaned. For example, when your teenage boy comes home from schools, dumps his bag and is just about to rush out to join his friends at the mall, you step in and stop him from venturing out until he has tidied his room. This usually starts an argument in which the words ‘not fair’ feature prominently as he heads for his bedroom slamming the door behind him.
The problem here is commonly that the boy has not yet made the connection between his actions in simply throwing his bag in the corner of his room and the inconvenience which this creates for you in having to go into his room and sort through the mess when it comes to laundry time. Similarly he has yet to make the connection between the fact that you have just spent a great deal of money having the wiring in the house sorted out because mice, attracted by the food left lying around in his room, had chewed their way through the electrical cabling.
In short you have inconvenienced him by restricting his freedom but this is not fair because when all is said and done he is the person who has to live in the room and he does not see that it should matter to you what state the room is in.
The secret is simply to enlighten him by helping him to make the connection for himself between the state of his bedroom and the inconvenience that an untidy room causes you. Once you have done this, taking away his privileges and inconveniencing him when he fails to keep his room in good order will suddenly be seen as quite fair.
While getting children to connect their actions with their natural consequences is certainly the key to instilling a sense of responsibility in them, you must remember that the child has to be in a position to understand the connection between his actions and their consequences.
Although it is frequently all too easy for an adult to see the connection, a child may not always have enough knowledge or experience to spot the connection. It is important therefore to begin teaching your child responsibility at an early age so that, when difficulties of understanding do appear, the child will come to trust you when you say that he does not wish the consequences of whatever it is he is contemplating.
One last point to remember is that, just like adults, children have some degree of their own free will and, like it or not, the influence that you are able to exert over your children is limited. Often the best you can do is to lay down reasonable expectation and, when needed, to take a firm, but certainly not too authoritative, position. At the end of the day you are bringing up a person with the capacity to think for himself, stand on his own two feet and demonstrate self-responsibility.
Creating a good example and pointing out to your children the path which they should follow is as much as any parent can do. In the end your children will decide for themselves whether or not they want to follow the path which you have shown them.

The Importance of Google Sitemap Account

July 20th, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Having a Google Sitemap for a site is a must if Search Engine Optimization is one of our priorities. Since Google dominates the search engine industry, it is important for us, as Webmasters, to understand how Google see our sites. It is quite surprised that a majority of site owners do not take advantage of this yet.
The first thing Sitemap account tells us is when did the Google bots visited our sites. Upon logging into the account, the last crawl date by the bots will be shown in the front page. This allow us to check if our latest content is indexed by the bots. We should always check this date because when Google bans a site, the bots will still be visiting the site but never index it. Hence, further rectification will need to be done and a re-inclusion request has to be followed.
Another useful information provided is the Query Statistics. This page will show us the top searches relating to our pages and if we have received any traffic from these keywords. As Google updates this page regularly, Webmasters can monitor their sites ranking easily from here especially after Google’s data refresh.
The next section, Page Analysis, is the only place on the Internet that illustrates how Google sees our sites. This section shows us a list of keywords that are closely related to our pages in Google’s’ perspective. From the data here, we can easily fine tune our internal linking structure or propose new external anchor word(s) to meet our target.
The latest addition to Google Sitemap account is the Links Statistics. This set of data will show us how many incoming links do we have from both external and internal pages. As the linking statistics here is far more updated than the traditional link: operator, this feature is well-liked by many Webmasters recently.
To conclude, Google Sitemap account is certainly very useful to the Webmasters as it provides us with a lot of information from Google’s perspective. By utilizing this account, most web masters should not have a problem in boosting their SERP (Search Engine Result page).

Online Stock Trading – Stock Trading Strategies

July 20th, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

The ease of online stock trading draws the attention of new investors and investors looking for an alternative to the old methods of trading.
With little more than an account and a mouse fortunes can be made or lost from the privacy of one’s own home. However, before getting carried away, investors should look into the basics of stock trading strategies to help protect themselves from what can be a very tempting albeit confusing world of internet stocks.
The only consistent notion about stocks is that they are inconsistent. Investors that make decisions based entirely on emotional gut feelings or make decisions based on desperation will only do about as well as they will at the casino. Planned, precise, and well thought out decisions make for strong trades. Online stock trading need not be a random roll of the dice.
Regardless of any pre-planned strategy that an online investor approaches the online trading world with, there are two basic entities that need to built into any strategy.
All trading is based on maximizing the profits while minimizing the risks.
These two factors also tend to cancel each other out. The greatest risks usually turn the greatest profits while the smallest risks typically turn tiny but long term profits. This means that an individual investor needs to find their individual risk tolerance while building their strategy.
There will be losses. There’s no strategy in the world that can guarantee online stock trading without loss. Loss is part of the game no matter how serious the player.
The most successful online stock traders in the world have one basic rule implemented into their trading strategy. They all have their stock portfolio divided into percentages. They have a predetermined percentage seeking high risk, high return stocks, a predetermined percentage seeking medium risk, medium return stocks, and a predetermined percentage seeking low risk, low return stocks.
The predetermined percentages vary from investor to investor and some have the bulk of their percentages in low risk while others have the bulk in medium risk. Placing the bulk of the available funds in high risk stocks is a sign of either gambling or desperation, neither one is considered a very sound strategy.
The reason that these percentages are predetermined for the vast majority of successful online investors is to help maintain unemotional investing. If there is a set amount of the available funds doing s predetermined job, then the emotional windfalls and shortcomings are incapable of moving the percentages around.
Online stock trading can become emotional, and when it does online traders start making bad decisions based on their emotions. Keeping the emotional trading to a nonexistent minimum is very difficult for many online traders, but it is also on of the best laid online stock trading strategies there is.
Every individual investor’s strategy will vary to suit their needs, their risk tolerance, and their individual style. However, having a basic strategy before the account is even opened is a vital key to online stock trading.
Investors without a strategy tend to lose more often than they succeed.
Every individual investor’s emotional strings are different, and some will need firmer, more complicated rules before setting off into the online investment world. Others will do fine with a basic outline.
While learning the ropes, it is best to dabble with small sums of money rather than place large chunks of money into any stock, no matter how good it seems.
One of the most significant pros to online stock trading is the investor’s ability to go through the motions on paper without ever spending a dime while they keep an eye on the stocks they believe they are interested in.
Over time, online stock trading can become a very healthy form of secondary or even primary income, but the investor has to start with a plan.
